Bra Tips

Your bra size can change over the course of your life.  Pregnancy, Weight gain/loss, hormonal changes, plastic surgery, are all factors that an
affect your breasts. The average woman will wear six different bra sizes throughout her life.

Bra measurements.  Bra measurements are not an exact science.  Manufactures are all different and sometimes you may wear different sizes for
different bras. Use your measurements as a base and don't be afraid to try a different size.

When putting on your bra, you should put the straps over your shoulders, lean forward at the waist and let the breast fall naturally into the cups.
As you straighten, attach the hooks in the back.

Check your Cups.   If you are overflowing outside of the cups you are wearing too small a cup size.  If you cannot fill the cup you are wearing too
large a cup.

You should receive most of the support from the band, not the straps.  Pulling your straps too tight to give you lift  just pulls the band up higher in
the back.  The lower edge of the band should always sit below the shoulder blades.  Another way to check the positioning of your bra is to look in
the mirror and see that the bra is positioned halfway between your shoulder and your elbow. The band should lie parallel to the floor.  If you see
the back riding up you should try a smaller band size.  To test the band size, hook your bra on the loosest setting.  Have someone place their
hand under the strap and then turn their hand 90 degrees.  Their hand should be firmly placed and unable to pull the bra further away from your
back.  This will also help to eliminate that dreaded back fat.

The center panel of the bra should lie flat against your chest.  If it is protruding out you are probably wearing too small a cup size.

Larger busted women should look at a fuller cup.  Too small a cut will not give you the proper support you need.

The under wire should never lie on the breast tissue.  If you feel the wire poking into your breast tissue you are either wearing too small a cup
size or need a different style of bra.

Since bras loose elasticity over time,  have your bra fitted on the last hook so that you have room to tighten.

Never wear the same bra two days in a row.  The material needs to rest to maintain proper elasticity.

You should buy a new bra every six months

Always try to  hand wash your bras with a delicate fabric wash.  We recommend Forever New.  If you cant hand wash, be sure to use the delicate
cycle on your washing machine and put your bras in a lingerie bag. Never put your bras in the dryer.  This will reduce the life of your bra and its
elasticity.

Remember.  The best color to wear under white is nude.

Bra Measuring:
1.  Measure around the rib cage directly under the bust.  Use a tight measurement and be sure the tape is smooth  across the back and level
with the front. If your measurement is an odd number, add 5 to it .  If your measurement is an even number, add 4. This is your band
measurement.

2. Measure under your arms, high on your back, around the top of your chest ( above your breasts).  This should be the same as your band
size. If your measurement was an odd number, add 1.

3.  Measure around the fullest part of your breast  loosely.  Remember to keep the tape even around your body.  This is your cup measurement.

4.  Subtract your band measurement from your cup measurement and use the chart below to get your cup size.

After DD many companies
vary on sizes.

What type of bra do I want?

Balconette - Gives uplift and cleavage. Similar to a Demi cup bra with less coverage.

Bralette - A soft cup, unlined, no wire bra.

Contour Bra - Has shaped cups  which are either lined or padded and an under wire.  Lined cups are not the same as padded.  They are alot
thinner.  Most women who wear contour bras like that there is no nipple show through.

Demi - Minimal coverage bra.  It covers the nipple and about 1/2 the breast.  This style does not provide alot of support but has a very sexy look.

Full Cup - This type of bra is better for larger sizes.  It covers most of the breast providing more support.

Minimizer - Can make the bust look up to one full size smaller

Molded - This style of bra is usually unlined with an under wire  but the cup is soft.

Plunge - Creates a deep V in the front to maximize the appearance of cleavage.  Better for smaller sizes because it has less support.

Racerback - The perfect bra to go with tanks.  The straps are pulled in more towards the center of the back.

Soft cup - Has no under wire.
